Miami Vacation Rental Tips, Lapidus Lounge in South Beach
One Lincoln Road
Miami Beach, Fla. 33139
Lapidus Lounge in South Beach is a high-class location, which offers comfort and conversation in an chic atmosphere. The bar area is located in the center of activity in the upper lobby of the resort, where hotel guests along with sophisticated tourists arriving from the beautiful vacation rentals in Miami gather to relax in the evening. Lapidus Lounge South Beach, which overlooks the pool area of the hotel, provides an elaborate bar and cocktail menu, featuring martinis and specialty drinks as well as foods like shrimp cocktail with avocado and green apple, sticky soy caramel twice-cooked chicken wings, and pork spare ribs with sour cherries, charred shallots, and yellow mustard. Even the most elegant vacation rentals in Miami cannot compare to the luxury of the Lapidus Lounge.
Food and drink
The Lapidus offers a decadent brunch on Sundays from noon until 3 PM and their regular bar menu is available until 11 PM from Sunday until Thursday and through midnight on the weekend. The drinks are delectable and even include an offering of non-alcoholic choices “for the goody-two-shoes.”
The Lapidus Lounge is located outdoors, but even in the Miami heat, patrons stay cool, “thanks to 10 hard-working ceiling fans.” A Zagat reviewer enjoyed the numerous features kept from the original 1953 Dilido Hotel, designed by Morris and Lapidus, making the style “hipper than other Ritz’s.” Many reviewers enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere, but some felt that the view of the pool was less than agreeable. The multi-million dollar art collection all but adds up for any disappointments. The lounge is also conveniently located to the beach areas of Ocean Drive and the trendy boutiques along Lincoln Road.
The music is played non-stop at a volume that allows you to enjoy it while dancing, yet still be able to speak to others around you. One Yelp reviewer was happy with the “70s funk” that was played.
One patron pointed out that even though the service was slow, the “delightful” staff was quite friendly, and the group was urged to “check out the rest of the hotel, especially the downstairs lobby by the funky panel of lights.” However, a Zagat Reviewer disagreed, stating that the service was simply “phenomenal.” A Google Reviewer was thrilled when the staff discovered that one member of her party was having a birthday soon and provided truffles and “Happy Birthday” balloons upon their arrival. One patron added that the staff was responsive even after he had left.
